I have a confession to make, I am one of the great romantics. I tried for a time to pretend I wasn't, that romantic love was too fleeting to spend so much time longing for and agonizing about, but I have reached an age where you either know yourself or you're in deep trouble. I love love. I love the whole romance thing and this year, with the sun and Venus basking in the rays of Neptune and Jupiter, it promises to be a supremely romantic Valentine's Day. Of course, we shouldn't need a special day each year to say I-love-you; it should be something we utter every day to the people we adore, but February 14 does allow us to put our heads and our hearts above the parapet and prepare to be shot down in flames - of burning passion, obviously. So, here's to love, and if it's taking a temporary leave of absence from your life, there's always next year...
